Stillwater
|
|
This place is just a 30 minute drive north. Theres a walk up there that takes about 3-4 hours one way. if you catch the tides right you can walk around the seashore a lot of the way. if the tide is in you have to take a detour over the hills and be satisfied with views from the top. Nice place for a Sunday afternoon walk

Not so daft
|
|
As a materials engineer/scientist I know that salt water and steel dont go together so driving on the beach was pretty daft. Even dafter to go back and do it again you might think? Well actually I didnt, these are shots from that first and only time, the one i showed you previously. And it WAS daft, but it WAS also fun
(do you guys say daft where you are, probably not, you probably say dumb or something?).

Kaipara Harbour

New Zealand is not all blue oceans and blue skies. there are some great areas of countryside around as well. This is an area called Kaipara Harbour up on the west coast. Oh alright, youre never too far from the ocean

Sleepers

Well hello, and welcome to Monday mine finished and im getting ready for bed, hope you enjoy your first day back at work.
Took these fotos at the ferry jetty across on Rangitoto volcano. 3 is my favourite with the cityscape caught between the sleepers in the background. Not that that was planned of course, just kinda happened to turn out like that

I was supposed to be posting all of these successively, starting with the sharks of last week, but you know me, once i get some new fotos i just gotta post them. Maybe this will become a Sunday series Oh no, wait, the dolphins appeared midweek  (theyll be making another coupla appearances too, just in cae you interested )
